Content Farm Vs. Personal Blogs: Which One Will Win?
Not long ago I figured that blogging is an effective way to promote websites, most of the blogs I am working on are wordpress based, as far as we know that WordPress is perfect for casual as well as professional bloggers, with the GPL liberal license make the wordpress the most popular weblog platform on the Internet.
Lately I figured that I should build my own blogs and promote them, then I can use established and fully owned blogs to advertise other websites, of course this is not a new idea, the existence of blog networks already says it all, but those are not my own sites and I don’t have control, and I have no way to post to those blogs, its easy to understand that the price on those networks won’t be cheap.
Its a tedious job to maintain more than a few blogs, if you’re not using your blogs as spamming device, to write real stuff for your blogs will be time consuming, its never easy to build successful blogs. I’ve seen quite a few real world examples, such as this one, High Quality Sling, it has a nice name, the content on the site is not bad, without a clear theme, you’ll find all kinds of different posts there. Here is another one, Ratchet Strap Info, this blog is themed, all topics are about same theme, and ranks well for quite a few keywords. I can show you a lot more sites, but I believe you get the idea. One more important point, some of your blogs should not be very serious ones, do some casual postings randomly, just like this blog, Lift Sling Manufacturer, your blogging network looks more natural with these casual blogs.
When you already have a few interesting blogs, probably you can add a few more blogs to your arsenal, use the old ones to promote the new ones, this way you get your little blog network rolling. It sounds pretty simple, but it won’t be easy to build even a tiny blogging network, one of the most important things is that don’t get your site black listed by major search engines.
